Starleaton has reported a very strong result from Sydney’s Visual Impact expo which ended on Friday 13th October.
“For a three day event that was arguably held in the shadow of Pacprint the amount of business conducted was remarkable,” says CEO Ben Eaton.

“Trade shows are not about number of visitors these days but the quality of the decision-makers, and we saw them all with many from regional areas from across Australia. Ours was a very hardware-

intensive working display with a huge focus on finishing. All but two smaller items were sold at the show, which is a fantastic result. In fact several Zünd table cutter orders were taken.”
Since the acquisition of DES in late 2016 and Intergraphic Technologies in 2014, Starleaton has heightened its focus on hardware, including the EFI range of roll and Hybrid-flatbed printers and the Zünd range of digital cutting tables and software.
“This has necessitated a look at our service offering,” says Eaton, “and we have recently recruited a further two fully-trained technicians along with two additional application and colour specialists. This bring our service and support department number up to sixteen. When Starleaton was primarily a consumables company, we prided ourselves on our industry knowledge and technical assistance. We have extended this policy into hardware service and applications specialists which doubles-up our customers’ support resources with first-line support from Starleaton and the equipment manufacturers always there when needed.”
Latest technical support recruits are Michael Cunha (WA), William Belowitz (VIC), Milad Guergues (NSW) and Edwin Milari (QLD) – all very experienced engineers.
Starleaton is now a nationally-resourced supply and service organization, with New Zealand next in line for further service expansion to support their rapidly growing sales team.
