To be applauded for its continuity of leadership, Cathy O’Connor, who notified plans for her intention to step down from oOh!media back in April, will remain at the helm until the end of the year. But her successor has now been confirmed as James Taylor, who is currently the managing director of Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), Australia’s multicultural and multilingual public broadcaster. Whilst the Eastman Kodak Company, the iconic printing and imaging company founded in 1880, is pushing back on reports that it may not be in business for that much longer, the company’s second quarter financial report, includes a statement citing ‘substantial doubt about the Company's ability to continue as a going concern’. In an effort to help, Signarama San Antonio owners, Matt and Kerry Mattingly, printed a couple of hundred ‘yard’ signs, featuring a QR code that pointed donations to the Community Foundation Texas Hill Country. 6,000 signs and USD$60m later and the emerging legacy is one of community strength and support, powered by simple sign printing.
