Screen's Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI-S digital press will be printing live and continuously throughout all four days of Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona
Visitors to the Screen stand D55 in Hall 5 of the Fira Barcelona Gran Via exhibition centre, will witness the Truepress digital label press running around the clock, printing hundreds of metres of label in real time, on a range of different substrates and in a variety of different label applications, to simultaneously demonstrate the productivity, consistency and versatility of the press..
Carlo Sammarco, Business Development Director Label & Packaging Solutions for Screen Europe, says: “The point is that our printing solutions don’t just deliver high quality results: they deliver high-quality output, reliably and consistently, shift after shift. Which is why we’ve elected to show this on our stand at Labelexpo, instead of the usual ‘canned demo’ approach. We will be demonstrating ‘live’ how label converters can make improvements to their business’ bottom-line with the considerable uptime and high efficiency of a high-performing digital label press.”
A proven workhorse, the Truepress Label 350UV SAI S UV inkjet label press features advanced automation to support complete end-to-end workflow integrations, that facilitate what Screen says are ‘industry-leading press uptimes of greater than 80%’.
Sammarco continues: “Lights-out automation is a reality; streamlining everything from file preparation to the finished product and the new Truepress Digital Primer expands substrate choice for improved durability and embellishment, without additional equipment, facilitating Screen UV inkjet technology for integration into hybrid flexo/digital label printing workflows.”
Screen GP Managing Director, Peter Scott will also be attending the show. He says: “With the show now being held in Barcelona instead of Brussels, there is more room, so we are also able to showcase our flexible packaging and folding carton capability.”
With brand owners seeking more sustainable solutions and paper packaging gaining favour for recyclability and consumer appeal, converters are increasingly exploring flexible packaging as an opportunity to diversify their offerings. In addition to labels, Screen will present their latest innovations in flexible packaging, offering digitally printed samples and expert guidance on how converters can enter this high-potential space with minimal risk and maximum efficiency.
Screen GP Managing Director, Peter Scott Scott says: “For many label converters, moving into flexible packaging can seem daunting, but Screen is applying our long history and expertise in digital inkjet to this exciting growth market, with the Truepress PAC 520P, which will be shown at Labelexpo producing finishing-ready reels for paper packaging.”
Screen will also show flexible packaging examples from the 830mm web Truepress PAC 830F for plastic flexible packaging films, to demonstrate how water-based inks compliant with food and safety regulations and guidelines can support a transition or addition of flexible packaging production that is accessible, scalable, and profitable - from roll to printed reel.
Scott notes: “Label printers can now consider diversification and capture new business in fast-growing, sustainable flexible packaging markets. This is just another reason why we are confident that the trip to Barcelona will be very worthwhile, even for visitors from the Australian and New Zealand markets.”
Screen LABEL and PAC products are sold and supported in Australia and New Zealand through Jet Technologies, whose representatives will also be at Labelexpo Europe. Stand tours, product demos and appointments can be booked directly through Screen Europe
