The company started from humble beginnings in 1978, when Peter and Lea Eaton started hand-converting rolls of laminating and mounting film in the living room of their Sydney suburban home. Starleaton has remained a family business since then, with present CEO and son of the founders, Ben Eaton joining in 1978, in the warehouse operating slitting/rewinding machinery.

Ben’s sister Melissa joined in HR and accounts in 2003 and brother Josh, an IT/web developer now COO, in 2012. Peter and Lea retired in 2017 and since then Starleaton has been in the hands of the ‘next generation.’

Today, following a period of expansion, both organic and through acquisition, Starleaton has operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Newcastle, Perth and more recently Auckland.

The company has one of the most comprehensive product ranges in the industry, with leading brands and also its own ‘house’ consumable brands HeliXx and ChromaJet.

Its PrintEx stand will be packed with technologies including the first Australian showing of the EFI Pro 32r 3.2 metre LED-UV roll printer and live demonstrations of products from Zünd, Epson, EFI, Neschen, Impulsa, Flexa, Roland and much more. Other demonstrations will focus on Textiles, Personalisation, Colour Management and Signage workflows.
