Epson launches into high-speed inkjet label production

Epson installed Australia’s first high productivity SurePress L-6534VW industrial UV digital label press at their new Experience Centre in Yennora, Sydney. Epson has sold over 350 of its Surepress label press series globally but this is the first model to reach the benchmark speed of 50 metres per minute. Epson President Yasunori Ogawa addressed visitors via videolink.

PVCA CEO Andrew Macaulay to leave after five years

Print and Visual Communications Association chief executive Andrew Macaulay has announced plans to move on and PVCA board will start a recruitment process for a new leader shortly. The association has asked Macaulay to stay on until that process is complete, which could be around PacPrint time in September.

Kodak - USD$375 million injection fixes "doubts over ability to continue as a going concern"

Yesterday, US time, Eastman Kodak Company reported financial results for the full year 2020, including consolidated revenues of $1 billion and an increase in cash in the second half of the year. Two investment firms have agreed to USD$375 million in loans.
